Simulation

Clinical simulation has been used in healthcare for centuries and has gradually become essential for training our staff across all departments and practices.

Recently it has become a very useful tool to help improve patient safety across the NHS. We have a Hospitals Simulation (Sim) team based at each of our acute hospitals.

These are responsible for delivering simulation-based education, running scenarios for emergency, rare and difficult situations and learning from them. This means that if these events do occur, the training will allow the team or individual, to learn from prior experience and perform better.
