Mobility services (Orthotics, wheelchairs and prosthetics)
Our department is split between our sites at North Devon District Hospital and the Exeter Mobility Centre, delivering wheelchair, orthotic and prosthetic services for both adults and children. We assess clients with a variety of mobility needs, prescribing equipment and making sure specialist devices and equipment are carefully designed and fitted to increase mobility and independence. This includes:
- Wheelchairs
- Artificial limbs
- Insoles
- Specialist footwear
- Braces
- Splints
Where you access our service depends on your location. Your appointment may take place at one of our sites, in a community setting or as part of a specialist school. We also have an in-house service for anyone affected by limb loss.
