Medical Imaging (Radiology, X-ray)

The Medical Imaging/Radiology Department, is where you'll go for Diagnostic Imaging services, including CT, DXA, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and X-rays.  Some of these services also offer treatment pathways. 

The imaging and procedures are carried out by Radiographers (healthcare professionals) Sonographers, Consultant Radiologists (doctors trained in performing specific imaging and interpreting medical images), Radiology Registrars and Assistant Practitioners

The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) Medical Imaging Department also covers the Radiology Departments at the Community Hospitals in Axminster, Exmouth, Honiton, Okehampton, Ottery St Mary, Sidmouth and Tiverton.  We also cover the Exeter Nightingale CDC (Community Diagnostics Centre)

The North Devon District Hospital also covers the Radiology Departments in Community Hospitals at Bideford and Ilfracombe and provides other imaging services in the community, such as ultrasound.
