Critical Care
Critical care is provided to patients who are in a critically ill or unstable condition and need constant monitoring and support from highly-trained staff, equipment and medication. This may be for a number of reasons, such as a sudden illness or accident, or as planned admission following a major operation.
Our specialist team of consultants, anaesthetists and nurses work closely with other professionals to provide the highest quality care to the most seriously unwell patients.
We offer critical care in both of our main hospitals:
- Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford)
- North Devon District Hospital
