Cancer
Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of the body grow and reproduce uncontrollably, often forming tumours. The cancerous cells can invade and destroy surrounding healthy tissue, including organs. They can also start in one part of the body before spreading to other areas. This is known as metastasis.
We know that a cancer diagnosis has a great impact on patients and carers, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. We aim to provide the highest possible standard of care for all our patients at every stage of their pathway.
Our multi-disciplined team delivers care across North Devon, Mid Devon, East Devon and Exeter, combining a range of specialities to diagnose and treat each type of cancer in a particular way.
