The Council of Governors meets formally on a quarterly basis.

At each meeting, they receive an update from the Chief Executive, a report on the Trust's performance over the previous quarter and conduct their routine business.

The agendas and minutes of meetings can be found below. Please note that minutes are not published until they have been approved.

Council of Governors meetings after April 2022:

All meetings are currently planned to be held via MS Teams.  We will review this in light of any new guidance on meeting in person.

Council of Governors meetings 2023

The Trust is planning on moving back to holding its Council meetings in person (subject to infection prevention and control advice)  The dates, venues and papers are below:

Update 6 March 2023 – please note that due to the adverse weather predicted for Devon, we have taken the decision to postpone the CoG meeting due to take place in Barnstaple on 8 March 2023.  We will be rearranging the meeting for a date in April 2023 and will update the website with the details in due course.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

As we continue our integration, some of our documents will refer to our former organisations:

Some of our documents prior to April 2022 refer only to the RD&E. As new documents are produced, these will have the Royal Devon logo and related information.

Our Board has 10 meetings in a calendar year (although it can also meet in August and December if required), with each meeting having a public and confidential session.

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) on Wednesday 27 September 2023, 16.00-18.00.

The meeting will be held at Petroc College (Tiverton Campus), Bolham Road, Tiverton EX16 6SH with the option to also join the meeting virtually via MS Teams.

The event will provide an opportunity for Trust members to hear about our performance over the previous financial year, to learn more about aspects of our work, and to contribute your views.  It is a members' event, but interested public are welcome to join as a member of the Trust when booking.

For more information on how to submit a formal Motion to the Annual Members Meeting, or an amendment to the Rules of Procedure, please see the Members Meetings Rules of Procedure. If you are unable to participate in this year’s AMM you can still submit a question to the Corporate Affairs Team by 16.00 on Tuesday 19 September 2023. We will reply to you with the response to your question following the meeting.  The Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts will be formally presented at the meeting and have been published on our website here.
